The reason why I’m into dentistry is because ever since I was little, I just enjoy spending time at the dental office. I had a lot of teeth problems myself. I just enjoyed what they did. I liked the tools they used. I was just mesmerized. I never, never had any pain. The amount of time I spent there I feel like just made me interested more, and I felt like, “That’s something I can do in the future, maybe help my patients feel the same way I felt,” which was painless and just no anxiety.
I have a bachelor of science in chemistry with a minor in biology, and I’m obviously a doctor of dental surgery. I do take a lot of continuing ed courses just to keep up with the latest technology. So that’s something I can offer to my patients. Mostly I like endodontics, which is root canals, and Invisalign.
The most rewarding part is really having them get up from a chair and just give me a hug and say, “Thank you for your services. Thank you for making my teeth look better. Thank you for making me feel better.” So just that self-confidence and improving their self-image is what makes it more rewarding for me.
