Root canals are usually needed when there is a lot of decay into the nerve, and root canals are not what they used to be. We make sure that the patient does know the difference. I always tell my patient, “You will not know the difference between getting a filling or a root canal because you’re going to be numb, and you won’t feel any discomfort or pain.” And what the root canal does is just gets that infection out and then restores the tooth back to health.

The staff is efficient and friendly, the dentist friendly and very good at her craft. I had an old silver filling replaced (they last a long time, but not forever). She painlessly numbed just that tooth and I left with a completed white filling, no facial numbness and no restrictions as to what or when I could eat next. Couldn’t have been easier unless she made house calls!

Root canal treatment (often shortened to just “root canal”) involves cleaning out the infected inner part of a tooth known as the pulp chamber.
